At academic-utility-suite (accessible from https://academic-suite.online), the privacy and confidentiality of our student, faculty, and researcher visitors is of paramount importance. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information collected and recorded by our platform and how we utilize it in strict compliance with international standards and advertising network policies.

🎓 Zero Student Data Retention Guarantee

All academic calculations—including GWA computations, Likert scale tallies, DepEd item analyses, grade transmutations, and exam blueprints—are processed entirely client-side within your web browser using JavaScript. Your grades, student counts, test scores, and research indicators are never transmitted to, collected by, or stored on our web servers or databases.

2. Information We Collect

A. Log Files and Technical Data

Like many websites, academic-utility-suite follows a standard procedure of utilizing log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and optionally the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of this information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

B. Anonymous Tool Usage Beacons

To measure which calculators provide the greatest value to students, our platform collects anonymous, aggregated tool computation counters (e.g., total times the GWA Calculator or Likert Calculator was triggered). No personal inputs, names, grades, or IP addresses are linked to these counters.

C. Local Browser Storage

Our web applications may use browser localStorage solely to preserve user preferences locally on your device, such as your chosen light or dark mode theme and non-sensitive UI states. This data never leaves your device.

3. Third-Party Privacy Policies

academic-utility-suite's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. Detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers' respective websites.

4. Children's and Students' Information (COPPA / FERPA Alignment)

Protecting the privacy of young students using the internet is especially critical. We encourage parents, guardians, and educators to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
